The 2019 EPTA conference, on the theme of ‘Pentecostalism in a Changing World’, was held at the International Apostolic Bible College, Kolding, Denmark. The hospitality all delegates received at the college was superb, and we are truly grateful to all the team there.
Over 50 people attended, and we were particularly delighted to have Veli-Matti Kärkkäinen as our keynote speaker. Other speakers represented a broad range, from seasoned conference-goers, to first-time research students. It was really good to see a diversity of gender and ethnicity, as well as experience, among our speakers. Some fascinating research was presented and discussed in the 13 papers given, and it was clear both that the changing world has an impact on Pentecostalism, and that academic study can have a positive impact on Pentecostal church life. Selected papers will be published in the Spring 2020 edition of JEPTA.
